QuickBooks Online Integration, Coming Soon
We are building a QuickBooks Online destination for the same email-first pipeline that already runs into Xero. It is not ready to connect yet, and we would rather say so plainly than let you find out after signing up.
Where this integration actually stands
There is no QuickBooks Online connection in AccountingPipe today. You cannot authorise a QuickBooks company, no bills or expenses are created there, and nothing on this page is live software. What follows is our plan for it, written down so you can judge whether it is worth waiting for.
Want to hear when it launches? Create a free account and tell us QuickBooks is what you are waiting for. It helps us prioritise.
What You Can Use Today
The hard part of AccountingPipe is not the ledger it writes to; it is getting a receipt out of an inbox and turning it into clean, approved data. That part is finished, and two destinations are live right now.
Xero
Live and fully supported. Approved documents post as Spend Money transactions or payable bills, with the Xero contact matched, line items coded to your chart of accounts, tracking categories applied and the original receipt attached to the transaction.
Explore the Xero integrationGoogle Sheets
Also live. Every approved receipt is appended to your spreadsheet as a new row using the column mapping you define, which is a practical stopgap if your bookkeeping currently lives in a sheet or if you want a reporting copy alongside your ledger.
Explore the Google Sheets integrationWhat We Plan to Build for QuickBooks Online
None of the following exists yet. It is the shape we expect the integration to take, modelled on what the Xero integration already does, and it may change as we build it.
Planned: OAuth connection
Authorise your QuickBooks Online company from AccountingPipe settings, the same way the Xero connection works, so we never handle your Intuit credentials.
Planned: vendor matching
Match each extracted supplier to an existing QuickBooks vendor before anything is written, and create one only when there is genuinely no match, to avoid duplicate vendor records.
Planned: bills and expenses
Create the right record for the document: a payable bill for a supplier invoice, an expense for card spend, with line items carrying the amounts and descriptions that were extracted.
Planned: account and class defaults
Pull your QuickBooks chart of accounts into a pick list, choose the defaults new documents are coded to, and override them per document at approval time.
Planned: receipt attachments
Upload the original PDF or image to the record it created, so the evidence lives with the transaction for audits, exactly as it does in Xero today.
Planned: the same approval gate
Nothing posts until a person approves it, and a document that already has a QuickBooks record is never written twice. That rule is not negotiable for any destination we add.

QuickBooks integration FAQs
Can I connect QuickBooks Online to AccountingPipe today?
Not yet. The QuickBooks Online integration is still in development, so there is no connection to make in the product right now. Everything on this page describes what we intend to build, not what ships today.
What can I use right now?
Xero and Google Sheets are both live. You can email receipts in, have the AI extract the data, approve it, and have it post to Xero as a coded transaction with the receipt attached, or land in a Google Sheet as a new row.
Is it worth signing up before QuickBooks is ready?
It is if you also use Xero or a spreadsheet, because the capture, extraction and approval workflow is the same regardless of destination. If QuickBooks Online is your only ledger, you may prefer to wait for the integration to ship.
How will I know when it launches?
Create a free account and we will let you know when the QuickBooks Online integration is ready. Telling us you are waiting on QuickBooks also helps us prioritise it against the rest of the roadmap.
Will my existing documents work with QuickBooks when it arrives?
That is the intent. Capture, extraction, vendor records and the approval step are shared across integrations, so adding QuickBooks Online should be a matter of connecting it and choosing your defaults rather than starting again.
Why is Xero available first?
Xero is where our customers were, so it is where we went deep first: contact matching, bank and expense account selection, tracking categories, attachments and an approval gate before anything posts. QuickBooks Online is the next destination to get that treatment.
